    Esta recopilación pretende reconocer cómo incide el arte en el aprendizaje de niños y adolescentes que se desarrollan en ambientes de conflicto familiar; a partir de la argumentación teórica se establece la relación entre conflicto familiar, arte, aprendizaje y escuela. Se justifica los motivos por los cueles las prácticas artísticas generan efectos positivos en niños y adolescentes ayudando a fortalecer habilidades de integración en los contextos familiar y educativo. Los datos teóricos y ejes temáticos están expuestos desde los conceptos de familia, arte y dificultades de aprendizaje. Se describen los componentes más relevantes de la relación entre la realidad de niños, adolescentes y sus redes de apoyo inmediato. Se distingue a la familia y la escuela como las estructuras que pueden generar a través del arte, cambios significativos en los comportamientos de niños y adolescentes. La información se organiza desde los ejes temáticos de Arte y conflicto familiar en la infancia y adolescencia, conflicto y dificultades en aprendizaje. Se toman en cuenta las teorías del aprendizaje que pueden aportar a la comprensión de los aspectos más influyentes en las dificultades del aprendizaje. Arte y aprendizaje con relación al desarrollo del pensamiento creativo y divergente en un contexto de conflicto.This compilation aims to recognize how art affects the learning of children, and adolescents who develop in environments of family . Based on the theoretical argumentation, it is established the relationship between family conflict, art, learning and school. The reasons why artistic practices generate positive effects in children and adolescents are justified, helping to strengthen integration skills in family and educational contexts. The theoretical data, and thematic axes are exposed from the concepts of family, art and learning difficulties. The most relevant components of the relationship between the reality of children, adolescents, and their immediate support networks are described. Family and school are distinguished as the structures that can generate, through art, significant changes in the behaviors of children and adolescents. The information is organized from the thematic of Art and family conflict in childhood and adolescence, conflict and learning difficulties. Learning theories that can contribute to the understanding of the most influential aspects of learning difficulties are taken into account.     Global Retinoblastoma Presentation and Analysis by National Income Level.

    Importance: Early diagnosis of retinoblastoma, the most common intraocular cancer, can save both a child's life and vision. However, anecdotal evidence suggests that many children across the world are diagnosed late. To our knowledge, the clinical presentation of retinoblastoma has never been assessed on a global scale. Objectives: To report the retinoblastoma stage at diagnosis in patients across the world during a single year, to investigate associations between clinical variables and national income level, and to investigate risk factors for advanced disease at diagnosis. Design, Setting, and Participants: A total of 278 retinoblastoma treatment centers were recruited from June 2017 through December 2018 to participate in a cross-sectional analysis of treatment-naive patients with retinoblastoma who were diagnosed in 2017. Main Outcomes and Measures: Age at presentation, proportion of familial history of retinoblastoma, and tumor stage and metastasis. Results: The cohort included 4351 new patients from 153 countries; the median age at diagnosis was 30.5 (interquartile range, 18.3-45.9) months, and 1976 patients (45.4%) were female. Most patients (n = 3685 [84.7%]) were from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Globally, the most common indication for referral was leukocoria (n = 2638 [62.8%]), followed by strabismus (n = 429 [10.2%]) and proptosis (n = 309 [7.4%]). Patients from high-income countries (HICs) were diagnosed at a median age of 14.1 months, with 656 of 666 (98.5%) patients having intraocular retinoblastoma and 2 (0.3%) having metastasis. Patients from low-income countries were diagnosed at a median age of 30.5 months, with 256 of 521 (49.1%) having extraocular retinoblastoma and 94 of 498 (18.9%) having metastasis. Lower national income level was associated with older presentation age, higher proportion of locally advanced disease and distant metastasis, and smaller proportion of familial history of retinoblastoma. Advanced disease at diagnosis was more common in LMICs even after adjusting for age (odds ratio for low-income countries vs upper-middle-income countries and HICs, 17.92 [95% CI, 12.94-24.80], and for lower-middle-income countries vs upper-middle-income countries and HICs, 5.74 [95% CI, 4.30-7.68]). Conclusions and Relevance: This study is estimated to have included more than half of all new retinoblastoma cases worldwide in 2017. Children from LMICs, where the main global retinoblastoma burden lies, presented at an older age with more advanced disease and demonstrated a smaller proportion of familial history of retinoblastoma, likely because many do not reach a childbearing age. Given that retinoblastoma is curable, these data are concerning and mandate intervention at national and international levels. Further studies are needed to investigate factors, other than age at presentation, that may be associated with advanced disease in LMICs

    Background: The frequency of late-onset Huntington's disease (>59 years) is assumed to be low and the clinical course milder. However, previous literature on late-onset disease is scarce and inconclusive. Objective: Our aim is to study clinical characteristics of late-onset compared to common-onset HD patients in a large cohort of HD patients from the Registry database. Methods: Participants with late- and common-onset (30–50 years)were compared for first clinical symptoms, disease progression, CAG repeat size and family history. Participants with a missing CAG repeat size, a repeat size of ≤35 or a UHDRS motor score of ≤5 were excluded. Results: Of 6007 eligible participants, 687 had late-onset (11.4%) and 3216 (53.5%) common-onset HD. Late-onset (n = 577) had significantly more gait and balance problems as first symptom compared to common-onset (n = 2408) (P <.001). Overall motor and cognitive performance (P <.001) were worse, however only disease motor progression was slower (coefficient, −0.58; SE 0.16; P <.001) compared to the common-onset group. Repeat size was significantly lower in the late-onset (n = 40.8; SD 1.6) compared to common-onset (n = 44.4; SD 2.8) (P <.001). Fewer late-onset patients (n = 451) had a positive family history compared to common-onset (n = 2940) (P <.001). Conclusions: Late-onset patients present more frequently with gait and balance problems as first symptom, and disease progression is not milder compared to common-onset HD patients apart from motor progression. The family history is likely to be negative, which might make diagnosing HD more difficult in this population. However, the balance and gait problems might be helpful in diagnosing HD in elderly patients
